"We are meeting with a young woman struggling with many family issues who is interested in learning more about the Bible, and we are also teaching English to a group of new neighbors."
It’s hard to believe that we’ve been in our new neighborhood for six months! We are both amazed and filled with joy wit h the opportunities we have to share the love of Christ with our new neighbors. There are other times that feel extremely hard as we experience the incredible brokenness and overwhelming volume of need in our community. To give you a glimpse of our ministry, let us take a moment to introduce you to a few of our new friends and neighbors.
S, a new Afghani believer, is passionate about sharing Christ with other men. He also desires to learn more about the Bible himself. We have welcomed S and his wife, S, into our home for Bible study and are working toward S’s prayer of sharing his faith with many men in the community!
G and M, two Syrian men, were hesitant to talk with us at first. M wants nothing to do with religion, having given up on Allah years ago. G however, engaged us and after a time of good conversation and laughter, it became apparent that something had changed. After additional conversation, we offered to pray for them and their families, which both men openly accepted. After praying with them, M looked up and said, “Wow…I have goosebumps!”

M, a young Iranian man, is praying that he will have the courage to share his faith with his family and community. As we continue to disciple M, pray that he will have wisdom in how he begins to share his faith in Christ.
God is opening these and many other doors to build relationships. Please pray that our new friends and neighbors will have the freedom to hear the truth and that God would speak to them through His Word!
